Cookie Preferences

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit it. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences (such as login state, language, or display settings) over time and across pages. We also use a few related technologies, such as local storage and pixel tags, that work in a similar way for the purposes described here. Throughout this page, the word "cookies" refers to all of those technologies collectively.

On adsafee.com we use cookies for three distinct purposes. Essential cookies make the site work and are always active. Analytics cookies help us understand which pages are popular and where visitors come from, so we can improve our content. Marketing cookies let us measure the effectiveness of our campaigns on other platforms and, where applicable, retarget visitors with relevant business advertising.

Under the GDPR and the ePrivacy framework, non-essential cookies require your prior, freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous consent. You can grant, change, or withdraw consent at any time on this page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and your previous use of the site remains lawful for the period you had consented. Your choice is stored locally in your browser in a small record called adsafee_cookie_consent and is remembered for thirteen months, after which we will ask again.

The choices below apply to the public adsafee.com website, including the marketing site and the blog at /blog/. The Adsafee dashboard at dashboard.adsafee.com uses only essential cookies required to keep you signed in, to remember your interface preferences, and to protect against cross-site request forgery. Our public documentation at docs.adsafee.com follows the same approach and does not load analytics or marketing cookies.

We do not use cookies on the public website to make decisions about you, to build behavioural profiles, or to share information with data brokers. We do not participate in real-time bidding (RTB) ad auctions from our own marketing site.

Your cookie choices

Detailed cookie list

The following cookies may be set on adsafee.com, depending on your choices above and the third-party tags that are loaded for a given page. We update this list as our tooling evolves; for an always up-to-date list please contact hello@adsafee.com. We do our best to keep the table accurate, but third-party providers occasionally rename or rotate their cookies; if you spot a discrepancy please let us know.

Cookies marked "essential" are always set when needed. All other cookies are only set after you have given consent for the relevant category. If you reject a category, the underlying script may still load (because the consent banner itself relies on the same page) but it will be configured in a no-tracking, no-cookie mode where the provider supports it — otherwise it will be blocked entirely.

How we govern cookies

Who reads the cookie. Essential cookies are read only by Adsafee. Analytics and marketing cookies are read by the corresponding third-party provider listed in the table above. Each provider has its own privacy policy, which sets out in detail how it processes the data it receives from us and from your browser. Where the provider is established outside the European Economic Area, we rely on the safeguards described in the international transfers section of our Privacy Policy.

How long they last. Cookies have either a session lifetime (deleted when you close the browser) or a persistent lifetime (kept until the expiration date or until you delete them). The "Expires" column above lists the maximum lifetime for each cookie. In practice, persistent cookies are often refreshed each time you visit, so the actual lifetime is reset on each visit until you delete them or withdraw consent.

First-party and third-party cookies. First-party cookies are set by adsafee.com itself, while third-party cookies are set by other domains that load resources on our page (such as analytics or advertising scripts). Modern browsers may block or partition third-party cookies by default; that is a browser-level decision and not a substitute for the consent choice you make here.

Cross-device behaviour. Cookie preferences are stored locally in your browser. If you visit adsafee.com from a different browser, device, or after using your browser's privacy mode, you may be asked again because the previous storage is not available there.

What happens when you change your choice. If you previously consented to analytics or marketing cookies and now turn them off, we will stop setting new cookies in that category, and our analytics and marketing tags will switch to a no-tracking mode where they support it. Existing cookies that were set during your consented period remain in your browser until they expire or you delete them; the next section explains how to do that manually.

Clearing cookies in your browser. You can delete cookies and block them in your browser settings. Each browser handles this slightly differently; the following links explain how:

Note that if you block essential cookies entirely, parts of the site may not work as expected — for example, you may not be able to sign in or your consent choice itself may not be remembered between visits.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. There is currently no industry consensus on how to interpret the Do Not Track (DNT) browser header. Where your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an opt-out of marketing cookies even if no explicit choice has been made on this page. Your explicit choice here always takes precedence.

Children. The Service and our marketing site are aimed at business users. We do not knowingly use cookies to track or profile children. If you believe a child has used the site, please contact us so we can investigate.

Changes to this policy. We may update this page when we add or remove cookies, change providers, or to reflect changes in the law. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page shows when we last made a change. Material changes that affect what we ask consent for will be re-prompted via the cookie banner so that you can review your choice.

Related policies. For information on how we process personal data more generally, see our Privacy Policy. Your contract with us, as a customer, is governed by our Terms of Service.

We rely on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating a functional, secure website) for essential cookies, and on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) for analytics and marketing cookies. The use of non-essential cookies and access to information stored on your device is additionally subject to Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, as transposed into Cypriot law by Section 99 of the Electronic Communications and Postal Services Law of 2004. We have implemented this page so that no non-essential cookie is set until you have made an active choice, and a clear and equally prominent option to reject is offered alongside the option to accept.

The consent record we store contains the categories you accepted, the timestamp of your choice, and a version number that identifies the cookie table that was in effect at the time. We can therefore demonstrate, in line with Article 7(1) GDPR, that consent was given for the specific cookies that were in use at that point.

Questions

If you have questions about how we use cookies, or you would like a copy of the consent record we hold for your browser, please contact hello@adsafee.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled a cookie-related request, you have the right to complain to the Cyprus Commissioner for Personal Data Protection at dataprotection.gov.cy or to your local supervisory authority.
